Many of you may remember that it was a challenge to obtain residential control of the Association - and now our neighbors at the Grand are trying to accomplish the same thing.

Our neighbors at The Grand are asking for support for this Thursday, June 12th, 2008. Their efforts to have residents control their Board (sound familiar?) is at stake on this day and will impact other residential condos as well. Below are portions of their plea. We need as many of Venetia owners to show up to support us at the Courthouse next Thursday June 12th at 1.30 p.m. There will be a Summary Judgment Hearing before Judge Ivan Fernandez in the Miami-Dade Courthouse. This should be the final Hearing in our lawsuit to allow residential unit owners to control of the Board of Directors as mandated in F.S. 718.404 effective July 1, 2007.

Anyone can be at the hearing which is not just for Grand Condo owners.

We are meeting as a group in the lobby of the Grand at 12.30 p.m. and will leave to go on the Metromover shortly after that probably no later than 12.45 p.m. Independent travel however is OK

NOTE: The hearing is the first case after lunch and one hour has been allotted for the arguments so it should be over by 2.30 p.m.
