Haitian Compas Festival 2008
Heard the sound of a few drums last night? “The 10th Annual Compas Festival” will level Miami’s Bicentennial Park on Saturday May 17, 2008 with the Creole Caribbean sounds of Haiti’s Compas Music. Those of you who tend to shop in-store may have frequented CompUSA and then saw or heard they closed all their stores nationwide. And they did - every single one - but Systemax purchased the CompUSA brand, website domain and 16 store locations, most of which are right here in good ‘ol Florida. Plus, the CompUSA.com website is now completely new and different - offering tens of thousands of additional products never before offered at CompUSA - and the retail stores are already re-opened and very different too - plus, the pricing is now just as good as Tiger’s (which I see many boxes from at the front desk!). Great Miami eSkate Rolls by the Venetia
The Annual Miami eSkate event is being held this weekend, a 3 day long annual event. The event also goes right past the Venetia as the skaters returned to South Beach from their area event after first coming across the McCarthur Causeway.
It looked pretty neat, so here’s a bit of video of the group crossing the Venetia Causeway.
