It has been wonderful to see the Venetia residents gather to care for Dexter.( We ARE a community, esp. the dog lovers.) Rebecca Gillings who found him was the actual author of this post, and she is Dexter's "Angel" but many others are walking Dex, and coming by to pet and play with him. Please help her find a home for him. He has really suffered and is so sweet, and he deserves a home "for keeps".

Who is "the resident"? We want to thank him or her for the referral!
The meeting room space is rented for $2000 per month, and taxes.

This is GREAT STUFF!

As these units sitting unrented do not generate maintenance fees, each month our budget experiences a shortfall.

Could we be provided more details: ie total monthly revenue for this rental and total SF?

Venetia residents we owe the connection to the resident which works for the University and informed them about the opportunity to lease space in our building, the resident put the University in touch with our current manager. Great job you are the true "Million Dollar Baby"!!!

This project is still underway. The storm added a lot of water, also. Remember, it blows right in and stays. There were approximately three days of prep among all our staff for the storm, as we were prepping for a hurricane in case it became one.
Continental has extra cleaners on site for several weeks, to free Hector and Felix to assist in making this now many years overdue cleaning project, finally actually happen at no extra cost to the Venetia. This is an excellant example of big things that can be done with almost no money to spare, by vision, grit, determination and hard work. In this case, I think it would not have been possible with out the commitment and courtesy of Joe Bier, personally and Continental, in fact.
(Joe is bearing the cost for us of the temporary extra cleaners in our building so our staff can clean) This is a "freebie" ( no extra cost) essentially for the Venetia owners, courtesy of our management team.

Seems now that the bulk of the cleaning project is over. There is a visible improvement however still seems to need more done. Due to our lack of floor drains it seems there was a small amount of water accumulation post-cleaning, otherwise minimal intrusion on the garage and it's operation.

There is an announcement, however, at the front desk regarding painting in the garage.

Does anyone have any more information on this?

Hey Lonny,

I take it this won't be a problem for the concrete? Forcing high-pressure water into cracks, etc?

It'd be terrible to create problems for the sake of cleaning. I admit, it is filthy, though.

This has been a rough year for all of us owners, whether or not we are board members. I wonder if anyone on our board was behind in any of their payments during the past year. Would they have resigned if they were?

Hopefully when the new law goes into effect in October most owners will be paid up. But that will still leave the problem of how the law will affect anyone who wants to run for the board but is on a payment plan, whether for the previous assessment which many of us are paying in monthly installments or the current assessment.
