New Association Vice President Appointed – Welcome Loretta!
The Board of Directors of the Venetia Condominium Association announces the appointment of Loretta Alkalay as Board Vice President. She fills the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Stacey Stokes and will serve out the remainder of her term. The appointment will be ratified at the next Board’s Meeting.
Loretta has been Regional Counsel for a major federal agency in NY for the last 20 years, handling complex litigation, as well as routine real estate, procurement and personnel matters. Most of these years, she’s been forced to manage resources under tight financial constraints; doing much more with much less was a regular challenge. We’re sure she will use these skills to help Venetia move forward while weathering the fiscal crisis that has hit so hard in South Florida. Continue reading

Debt Counselling Available by Non-profit – FREE
Loretta Alkalay is a Venetia owner always looking to help others. She is a big help and assists in making collection calls for our Association, however she believes that along with strong collection tactics, we should also provide education to owners about free debt counseling services that are available to help them manage debt.
Here’s a non-profit through a link on the USDOJ website: Advantage Credit Counseling Services. They’re approved to give free counseling in Florida. (If you enter into a debt management plan with them, you may have to pay a fee but the counseling is free.) Continue reading
